January is almost gone and soon we’d be stepping into a new month. Now is the time to ask yourself if you have done anything worthwhile this month.
It’s easy to make new goals and new year resolutions. But it’s equally easy to shove them into the furthest part of the mind until the year is almost over.
Between you and that goal are two words: Laziness and Procrastination. It’s not because you don’t know where to start from or you aren’t motivated enough. It’s not because you are embarrassed about being watched because let’s be serious right now, no one actually cares. No one is staring at you. No one is judging you for doing what you want and what you like. The only person that would eventually judge you is you for letting yourself down.
An easy way to make sure you go for what you want is to get a journal or a planner. A lot of things are digitalised but there’s something glorious about holding that book and physically writing and checking off items from your lists.
Or you might decide to go bare and ditch the lists. Just live in the moment and do things as they come to you. That’s fine too. Totally not advisable for people with poor memories but still fine. You could equally make the list just to have it down and feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the year, while also living life in motion.
Make weekly or monthly short term goals. Checking off accomplished goals pushes you to check off more goals which would be your motivation in the long run; to check off those little boxes. If you are running out of ideas, check out my post on Year 2019 goals.
You have 342 days left. 342 activity filled days. 342 days to discover who you are and what you enjoy. 342 days of adventure and accomplishments. Don’t let another second waste. Don’t disappoint yourself (and me!)
